New Head Coach Michael Schultz (BHS ’86) is excited to lead the program this season and continue the upward trajectory established under longtime Head Coach Anthony Vaglica.

“It’s been 40 years since I suited up at Bronxville for Phil Kuczma (1983-1986),” Schultz noted.  “In my junior year (’84-’85), many of our top athletes migrated to what was then a Club Lacrosse program.

While I am proud of Bronxville’s reputation as one of the top Lacrosse schools around, I am even more proud to have been part of a ‘baseball resurgence’ at the school.”

Schultz, who is Principal at The Chapel School in Bronxville and has over 30 years of coaching experience, served as Varsity Asst./Hitting Coach for the Broncos from 2013-2015, and again from 2019-2022, helping to compile an impressive 36-7 record over the past 2 seasons.

With 51 players signed up for Modified, Jr. Varsity and Varsity baseball, the present and future of Bronxville Baseball is bright.

The Varsity season begins in Florida, as the Broncos open up against Briarcliff at Disney/ESPN’s Wide World of Sports on Sunday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 4.

“We have a tough schedule this year,” Coach Schultz added, “but we have a very talented group of young men who also have great chemistry.  Our love for each other and the game of baseball should make for another memorable season, and maybe even a few more Ws.  Let’s Play Ball!”
