Dec. 7, 2022: The 2022 Holiday Shopping Season is here!  The nation’s oldest outdoor shopping center is ready for shoppers who are looking for the ultimate sale along with an action-packed schedule of holiday events sure to bring comfort and joy this holiday season.

Cross County Center retailers are preparing for early shoppers by offering deals on well-stocked items, flash sales, in-store deals, self-checkout stations to cut back on long lines and wait times, plus convenient in-store or curbside pick-up.  Cross County Center will also feature gift guides and holiday style trends on its social media pages to make this year’s shopping list easy for all!

Liz Pollack, Senior Marketing Manager at Cross County Center stated: “Shoppers are looking for more comfort and joy this holiday season, so we continue to create the ultimate NYC holiday experience right here in Yonkers with the addition of our new Santa house.   We also know shoppers want to celebrate and spend again, but on a different scale to make their dollar count. Several of our retailers are planning for great discounted sale events throughout the holiday shopping season, so be sure to follow us on Instagram to find out about the latest steels and deals.”

With its outdoor setting, free up-close parking and family-friendly amenities, Cross County Center is a one-stop for holiday shopping, dining, and entertainment. Cross County Center offers an action-packed lineup of holiday events for everyone including:

Pop-Up Holiday Ice Skating Rink:  Now – January 1, 2023

Cross County Center’s popular pop-up ice skating rink is located right in the heart of the center. The pop-up rink is not made of real ice, it is a synthetic floor which glides slower than real ice making it perfect for first time and young skaters.  Admission is $10 per person (ages 5 and up) and includes skate rentals and a one-hour session. Character and theme skate nights will be hosted throughout the season. Private rentals are also available for a festive family party or friendly get together.

Santa Photos at the NEW SANTA HOUSE: Now - December 24

Capture a magical photo of your family inside Santa’s New Home.  The new Santa House is located right next to the holiday tree, near Gap, and features a warm and cozy holiday backdrop perfect for holiday photos.   Pet Photos will take place on December 12.  Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made through the center’s website, www.crosscountycenter.com.

Holiday Food Truck Market:  Now -January 1

Shoppers will enjoy tasty treats and savory snacks from Westchester’s best food trucks! Trucks are parked on The Green, in the center of the mall, and are open for lunch and dinner, daily.  Food Trucks include:  Abeetz Pizza, Leila’s Crepes, Leila’s Empanadas, Mac’s Meatballs, Sloppie Joe’s and Gery’s Donuts.

IGLOO Seating: Now -March 31, 2023

For those that want to eat in style or simply chill out in a cool seating area, pop up igloos will be available throughout the center.  Igloos feature cozy furniture and festive decorations and are open daily, available on a first come first served basis.

Menorah Lighting: December 19 at 6pm

Join Cross County Shopping Center for a special Chanukah Menorah Lighting with the Chabad of Yonkers. The Chabad Rabbi will light the menorah in celebration of the festival of lights, and guests will enjoy live music, cultural dancing, and delicious treats. The event will take place near Macy’s.

Festive Friday Giveaways

Each week from now to December 16 one lucky shopper will be selected to win a $150 gift card to a Cross County Center store to make their holiday shopping a little extra festive! Shoppers can enter for a chance to win through Cross County Center’s Instagram page with a simple follow and tag.
