Alex Rizzo Accepted into the Navy Pilot Training Program

Nov. 30, 2022: Alex Rizzo, a 2019 graduate of Bronxville high school, received word last week that he has been accepted into the Navy Pilot training program, part of the warfare community, following his graduation from the US Naval Academy ("Navy") next May.

Alex is the son of Peter and Charlotte Rizzo. At the Naval Academy, Alex has pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in general sciences and has been recognized as a member of Navy's cross country, and indoor, and outdoor track teams.

Alex and his twin brother Matthew, who attends Georgetown, are considered among the country's top D1 middle distance/distance runners.

"Alex has remarkable grit, and worked his way into the Navy Academy, and pushed hard. Charlotte and I are proud of his accomplishments and those of his siblings," said his father, Peter Rizzo. "The community, the education he received, his family and friends gave him the platform, the spark. Jim Agnello and Brian O'Donnell (brother of Patty Breen), to mention a few, have supported Alex throughout these four years."

Rizzo further remarks, "We talk about the 'greatest generation.' Well it's not the 'last generation,' as men and women from all backgrounds throw themselves into harm's way to serve and protect the country. Very humbling."
