Bronxville NPC Invites Village Residents to Annual Open Meeting on November 15

By Wendy Halley, NPC Chair

Nov. 9, 2022:  Bronxville's Committee for Non-Partisan Nomination and Election of School Trustees ("NPC") will host its annual open meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 7pm at the Bronxville Field Club.  Dr. Roy Montesano, Superintendent of the Bronxville Schools, Dr. Rachel Kelly, Assistant Superintendent and Ms. Susan Conniff, president of the Bronxville Board of Education, will address the NPC and the community to provide their views on the job of school trustee and the significant issues facing the school and the board.  The NPC encourages all Bronxville residents to attend this important meeting.

In advance of the meeting, the NPC is collecting input from the community on issues that members of the community feel are the most important facing the school and what qualifications and characteristics the community would like to see in their school trustees.

The meeting marks the commencement of the NPC’s 2022-23 search for candidates to serve as Bronxville School trustees.  This spring, the NPC will nominate two candidates (one for each of the two open seats) to run in the school district election to be held on May 16, 2023.

The NPC was formed in 1936 to foster the election of trustees of The Bronxville School on a non-partisan basis. The NPC, which consists of three elected representatives from each of Bronxville's seven election districts, solicits qualified residents who are interested in serving as school trustee and nominates a slate of candidates to run in the school-district election each May.
