Cross County Center’s Summer Fest Is Back!

May 25, 2022: Cross County Center is bringing back Westchester’s favorite summer celebration, Summer Fest 2022. The series kicks off on Tuesday, May 24 and continues throughout the summer. Westchester residents looking for fun, free summertime entertainment need to look no further than the 2022 Summer Fest series (plus, there’s always great shopping, dining, and year-round FREE parking too!)  

“Cross County Center is the destination for all things shopping and entertainment. We are excited to welcome shoppers of all ages back for an action-packed summer,” said Liz Pollack, Senior Manager of Marketing for Cross County Shopping Center. “Come out, enjoy the fresh air and all the summer fun you can soak up with friends and family while also visiting your favorite stores and eateries.” 

From free outdoor concerts, food trucks and Zumba classes to high energy kid events concerts and even educational events, the line-up includes something for everyone.  

NEW FOR KIDS!

 THE ROCK AND ROLL PLAYHOUSE

Enjoy the music you love with your little fans! This family friendly concert series is geared for children ten and under but doesn’t leave out parents. The family friendly concerts are an action-packed hour of games, movement, stories and most importantly an opportunity to rock out with your kids!  

  • WED 5/25: Kid’s Rock & Roll Motown, 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • WED 6/29: Kid’s Rock & Roll Beatles, 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • SAT 7/23: Kid’s Rock & Roll Bob Marley, 10:30am-11:30am
  • SAT 8/13: Kid’s Rock & Roll Hip Hop, 10:30am – 11:30am

An additional kid-friendly event includes the popular Bash the Trash Environmental Arts group. The event will take place on July 13th, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Bash the Trash uses musical instruments built from recycled and reused materials to explore concepts of sound, science, and sustainability.  

FREE ZUMBA CLASSES

Join Yonkers own Zumba instructor extraordinaire Guillermo Ruiz for a FREE Zumba class that feels like a party! The class mixes low and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party, accompanied by Latin and World rhythms. Classes take place on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:15 starting May 24- July 26.

FREE CONCERTS

Shoppers are invited to bring their beach blankets and chairs to The Green Lawn at Center Court to enjoy different genres of music, June through August. Plus, guests can enjoy tasty treats and savory snacks from local and regional food trucks at the concert events. 

YONKERS ROTARY CHARITABLE CAR SHOW

The Yonkers Rotary will present their first annual charitable car show on Sunday, June 12th from 10am-4pm in the North Lot. (Rain Date: June 26) The event is open to all types of cars and motorcycles. Money raised from entrants will provide scholarships to high school seniors in Westchester currently in Automotive programs going on to post-secondary education in the automotive field. Free to spectators. Guests will also enjoy music and food trucks throughout the day.

SIP N PAINT *New for adults

Get in touch with your creative side and relax your mind. Join instructors from We Art One of Yonkers as they show you step-by-step instructions on how to paint museum favorites and whimsical scenes. No experience is necessary. Price is $40 per person and includes all supplies. Pre-Registration is required, adults 21+ Only.
