Police Report: Car Accident in Bronxville

May 25, 2022: On May 6, 2022 at about 5:15pm, 71-year old Karen Elliott Russo of Bronxville was crossing Pondfield Road in the crosswalk and was hit by a 2014 Ford van. The van was driven by a 40-year old man from Mount Vernon, who was making a left turn from a stopped position on Midland Avenue to Pondfield Road.
Russo was taken to Westchester Medical Center where sadly she succumbed to her injuries at 12:42am on May 7th.
The driver was issued a traffic summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
