Bronxville School PTA Memorial Day Co-chairs Karina Wyllie and Lindsay Lavorgna and a Team of Volunteers Have Created Great Events for Memorial Day Weekend

By Staff

May 25, 2022:  The Bronxville School PTA will once again host Memorial Day Weekend festivities this year. Co-chairs Karina Wyllie and Lindsay Lavorgna have been working hard to make sure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Karina and her family moved to Bronxville about three years ago.  She and her husband have a 4th grader and 7th grader who are both thriving and loving the school.  Karina owns a home-based daycare company called Koala Park. Lindsay and her family were living in the city and moved to Bronxville when her boys were ages 3 and 5.  They were drawn to Bronxville because of the easy commute and excellent public school.  The boys are now ages 10 and 8.

Karina and Lindsay were both excited about getting involved with the PTA and thought the PTA Memorial Day event was a great way to do something fun for the community.  They quickly realized that Memorial Day in Bronxville is a week-long celebration and that they would need a lot of help. Thankfully, they were able to put together a great team of volunteers. They and their team have done an outstanding job with the first two events which took place last weekend - The Joy Run & Kids Dash and the Dog Show.

Below is a full list of upcoming activities.  There is truly something for everyone.  We all owe Karina and Lindsay and all the volunteers a huge debt of gratitude for creating a great series of events for the coming days.
