March 30, 2022: The Junior League of Bronxville (JLB), in partnership with the Beulah Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, NY, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 25th to celebrate the newest addition to the church, a food distribution storage facility, located on the church property. The Beulah Bread Shed was made possible through the generous support of the JLB's 2020-2021 Annual Fund.

Since 2014, the Junior League of Bronxville has partnered with Feeding Westchester to host a monthly mobile food pantry (MFP) distribution site at the Beulah Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The MFP provides fresh whole foods, meat and dairy with the helping hands of JLB volunteers to unload trucks, organize food, and distribute to residents. In recent years, it was identified that the church was in need of a food storage facility for their additional weekly bread distribution. The Junior League stepped in, offering to purchase a storage shed to hold perishable goods securely and safely for future distribution in the community.

"The Junior League of Bronxville is thrilled to be able to provide funding for the purchase of this shed.  We look forward to continuing our relationship with the members of the Beulah SDA Church and further supporting the needs of the Mount Vernon community," said Danielle Spring, President of the Junior League of Bronxville.
