Bronco Track and Field Athletes Compete at States

March 9, 2022: This past weekend Bronxville track and field athletes competed at the New York State Championships held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island. Competing against the best teams in the state, the girls’ 4x400m relay team, Milly Koenig, Maddy Stupart, Donna Napolitano, and Caroline Ircha, placed fourth in a time of 4:04.49. The girls’ 4x800 relay team, Hope Hershberg, Maddy Williams, Katie O’Hare and Ava Black, placed seventh in 9:32.13.
The boys’ team sent three athletes to states, Ellis Goodson, Luke Stephens, and Max Dicker. Stephens qualified for states with a 5’8” high jump, tying his personal best, and Max Dicker qualified with a lifetime best and new school record for the pole vault (12’).
Goodson participated the Section 1 Medley relay, which placed seventh. Luke Stephens competed in the high jump, placing 20th in 5-6.
