March 7, 2022: Bronxville High School held its 16th annual charity dodgeball tournament on March 3rd in the main gym of the school.
There were approximately 16 teams and each team had 5 or 6 players from 9th - 12th grade. There was a great spirit of fun and competition at the event.
The charity dodgeball tournament raised $1,211.00. The first-place team, which included 11th graders Albert Van Ness, Charlie Clifford, Finn Sands, Jay Marshall and Jaime Valdes, chose to send 50% of the proceeds ($606) to the Alzheimer's Association which is going to match this donation. The second place team was the freshman boys. With their winnings, they plan to make a donation to a charity helping the people of The Ukraine.
The senior girls won "best uniforms" and are going to split the $300 prize among two local organizations with which we have a strong service connection - - Westhab of Yonkers and the Southeast Consortium.
