Letter to the Community in Support of Mary Taylor Behrens
March 9, 2022: We write to support Mary Taylor Behrens for re-election as Bronxville Village Trustee. Since Mary joined the Board of Trustees in 2020, the Village has benefited from her knowledge of the Village as a resident for over 50 years as well as from her extensive business and volunteer experience. She has worked with the other Trustees to improve communication with residents through the “One Square Mile” newsletter, helped implement a food scrap recycling program, supported the restricted use of gas-powered leaf blowers, and worked with county, state and federal officials to improve the Village in myriad ways, including the Safe Routes to School initiative and efforts at flood mitigation.
Mary is a hard-working and dedicated public servant (even handing out covid tests on Christmas Eve). We are lucky to have people like her willing to devote their time, energy and talents to our beautiful village. We thank her for her efforts and enthusiastically support her re-election.
