Written by Liz Folberth, Member, Gramatan Village Board of Directors

Oct. 29, 2014: "We are thrilled to announce that Tracy Lilly and Barbara White have joined the Gramatan Village Board of Directors," said Kerry Walsh, president of the board. "Both Tracy and Barbara bring a wealth of expertise and talent to Gramatan Village and, most importantly, they are committed to our mission of helping older adults in our community continue to live confidently at home."
Tracy Lilly was born and raised in New York City and lived in Saint Paul, Minnesota, before moving to Bronxville 11 years ago with her husband, Jim, and three sons, now graduates of The Bronxville School. She was actively involved in the school, serving on various committees on both the Middle and High School Councils, and was a board member of The Bronxville School Foundation, where she chaired the development committee. Tracy was treasurer of the Bronxville Beautification Council and has been an evaluator for The Community Fund for the past two years. She was co-chair, with Carol Godfrey, of this year's May Magic, Gramatan Village's spring fundraiser.
Barbara White has lived in Bronxville since 1966. She taught in Ossining, New York, before joining The Bronxville School, first as a substitute teacher from 1970 to 1980 and then teaching Discovery Lab full-time from 1980 until 2006. She has served on the mayor's citizen advisory board, she served two terms on the Bronxville Adult School Board (as curriculum co-chair and member of the executive board), and she is a long-term member of the board of directors of the Standish-Cabot Apartments. Barbara has been involved with SoundWaters (an environmental organization in Stamford, Connecticut) since 1989 and volunteers with Destination College in Mount Vernon High School. She is currently serving on Gramatan Village's membership and program committees. Barbara, whose husband died in 2005, has two children and is the proud grandmother of six, ranging in age from 16 years to 16 months. Pictured here: Tracy Lilly (L) and Barbara White.
