Dec. 22, 2021: In our Covid Report on November 1, 2021, we reported that Covid cases were on the rise in Bronxville, with 24 new Covid cases reported in October. Now, like other places around the world, Bronxville is experiencing a large surge in cases.
In a communication to the Bronxville community on December 20th, the Bronxville School announced that Covid cases were rising at an "alarming rate" with "up to 45 positive student cases" since December 1st. As a result, the school closed a day early for the holiday and cancelled classes on Thursday. The communication stated that the school doesn't expect to go to remote instruction after the break unless mandated by the State but asked families to "be prepared."
The Westchester County Covid-19 Dashboard indicates there have been 84 cases in Bronxville in the past 14 days. Our neighboring towns are also experiencing a large uptick in cases in the past 14 days with 281 cases in Eastchester, 114 in Tuckahoe, 830 in Mount Vernon and 2,111 in Yonkers as of December 22, 2021.

People in need of tests might normally consider CityMD on White Plains Road in Eastchester; however, this location has temporarily closed, along with 18 other CityMD sites. The company announcement indicates that the goal of these temporary closures is to enable them to staff their sites, most of which are at full capacity.
