Oct. 8, 2014: Courtenay Biehl Swasey, daughter of Patricia Swasey of Greenwich, Connecticut, and J. Loring Swasey, Jr. of New York City, married Peter Murray Crawford, son of Mary Niblock Crawford of Darien, Connecticut, and Murray C. Crawford of Stuart, Florida. She is the step-daughter of Sharon Sager Swasey.
The September 27 wedding was performed by the Rev. Dr. James B. Lemler of Christ Church Greenwich and the Rev. Dr. James C. Zwernemann, pastor emeritus of Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville. The ceremony took place at Christ Church Greenwich. A reception immediately followed at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club.
The maid of honor was Ashley Prymas of New Canaan. Bridesmaids were Christina Childs of Darien, Tara Ann Franceschini of New York City, Dianna Lamarca of New York City, Kate Marinos of Rosedale, Katharine Mastellone of Rye, Christy Pandekakes of Bronxville, and Margaret Sevin of Bronxville. Flower girls were Grace Elizabeth Crawford of Highland Ranch, niece of the groom, Mary Evelyn Crawford of Highland Ranch, niece of the groom, Campbell Young Crawford of Norwalk, niece of the groom, and Julianna Karmilowicz of Rye, goddaughter of the bride. The ring bearer was William Joseph Crawford of Norwalk, nephew of the groom.
The best man was Jonathan Crawford of Darien, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Gregory Crawford of Highlands Ranch, brother of the groom, William Crawford of Darien, brother of the groom, and Zebadiah Clarke of Norwalk.
The bride is a graduate of Miss Halls School in Pittsfield, MA. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Roanoke College. She is an associate director of investments at the advertising agency OMD in New York City.
The groom graduated from New England Culinary Institute and received an associates of occupational studies degree in the culinary arts. He is the chef of cuisine at the New York Hospitality Group in White Plains.
The couple resides in Greenwich, Connecticut.
