Nov. 10, 2021: Coals, a popular Bronxville eatery, has been open since 2014, serving pizza, burgers, soups, salads, and sides with great success.
Congratulations to the owner, Billy Etzel, for winning the Heineken – Blue Moon Best Burger Award on September 23rd at the Beer & Burger Blast held at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
Twenty-four restaurants were in the competition, and Coals' Beef Sliders with cheddar cheese, guacamole, buffalo sauce, and pickled onions was voted #1 by the festival participants. In previous years a panel of judges chose the winner. Coals has been entered in this event seven times and has come in 2nd three times and 1st four times!
Coals' pizzas are unique in that they are hand-stretched and grilled over an open flame to produce a crisp yet tender crust, and there are nine varieties. In the burger department, Coals offers the Coals Burger, which is 8 ounces of ground beef with either Asiago or Vermont cheddar cheese, served with fries. They also serve the Big O'Brien, which is 8 ounces of ground beef with double American cheese, special sauce, pickles, lettuce, and onions also served with fries.
So head on over to this casual and fun family restaurant and experience the good food first hand.
Coals is open from Tues. – Thurs. from 4:30 to 8:30 pm and Fri. – Sun. from Noon until 8:30 pm. There are two other locations in Port Chester and Norwalk, Ct.
