May 19, 2021: This week, MyhometownBronxville caught up with Bronxville Village Administrator Jim Palmer regarding the building going up behind Bronxville Village Hall on Palumbo Place.
This new 9,500 square foot building will house the Bronxville Department of Public Works vehicles and equipment. It will also include a 1,000 square foot mezzanine with office space, bathroom, locker room, and meeting/break room. The previous DPW building dates back to 1942 and can't accommodate modern DPW equipment, which has to be left outside in the rain, sleet, and snow.

The day we were there, there was a lot of activity on-site, and Palmer reported that the project is moving along well and is on schedule for a July completion. The building will have plantings along the exterior and slope facing the rear side of Village Hall.
