Pet of the Week: Tripp; He'll Steal Your Heart

By Allison Roesser

Apr. 21, 2021: Don't plan on keeping your heart when you meet Tripp. You can be sure that within minutes of laying eyes on him, he will steal it away from you.

Tripp was picked up as a stray in Mobile County, Alabama. Surely someone had to be missing such a handsome fellow, but sadly no one came forward to claim him. This two-year-old Golden Retriever mix is not only incredibly beautiful, but he may also just become the love of your life. His coat is totally unique, with shades of creamy white, tan, gray, and brown. Tripp's head, tail, and body are just like a Goldens, and this hunky boy's eyes will absolutely make you melt with their soulful expression.

Tripp would be thrilled to be in a family with someone home more often than not because he loves to be around people. He is great with other dogs but has no known history with cats. Tripp loves humans and would enjoy an environment that includes children with whom he can play and engage. This lovable boy surely has a ton of potential and will absolutely blossom if given the loving care he craves.

Like all young dogs, Tripp will need adequate exercise, training, and socialization. Once he is feeling loved and content, this cutie pie is destined to be curled up loyally by your side day in and day out. For anyone looking for a hiking or exercise partner, this guy is definitely for you.

Tripp has been brought up to date with his vaccinations, was neutered, and micro chipped. He weighs about 70 pounds and is currently under treatment for heartworm. He will be ready to travel north in mid-May, and the hope is that his adoption will be secured before he arrives.

If you would like to a be part of Tripp's rescue story, please fill out an adoption application with Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue here.
