Apr. 14, 2021: The local Covid-19 numbers seem to be moving in the right direction. As of April 12, 2021, there were 17 cases in Bronxville. Cases in Bronxville have been on a gradual decline since the high point of 72 cases on January 11, 2021.
There are still a total of 1,530 cases in Bronxville and nearby towns, including Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Eastchester and Tuckahoe. According to the most recent data on the New York State Covid-19 Schools Report Card, which is as of April 9, 2021, there have been 2 new cases in the Bronxville School in the past seven days. View the NY State School Covid-19 Report Card here
Vaccination News
On April 13, 2021, Governor Cuomo issued a statement about the recent news that the CDC and FDA had recommended a pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine because six people who have received the vaccine in the U.S. developed blood clots. The Governor noted that 6.8 million people had received the vaccine. He confirmed that New York State will continue to administer the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, "which are completely unaffected by this pause and which make up the vast majority of our supply."
