Maitland Chase Griffith Died September 23, 2020

Oct. 7, 2020:  Maitland Chase Griffith died peacefully at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, New York, on September 23.

He was born October 25, 1940, the son of the late Lewis Scott and Rosine Chase Griffith. Chase was a high school track star at Bronxville High School, Class of '58, an avid tennis and squash player and was a long-time choir member at the Reformed Church in Bronxville, N.Y.

 

For many years, he faced obstacles and challenges, which he bravely accepted and survived. He was loved and will be missed.

He leaves behind his brother Lewis Scott Griffith Jr., of St. Pons, France, his sister Lucy Griffith Dargan of Darlington, S.C., 3 nephews and a niece, and 5 great-nephews and 2 great nieces.
