Concordia College and Westchester Community College Sign New Agreements

By North Callahan, Senior Director of Marketing, Concordia College

Apr. 20, 2016: A ceremony was held this week between Westchester Community College and Concordia College to celebrate renewed and strengthened articulation agreements between the two schools.

Dr. Belinda Miles, president of Westchester Community College, and Dr. Viji George, president of Concordia College, were in attendance, along with other officials from both institutions.

President Miles spoke of the importance of WCC students leaving with credentials that allow them to transfer to Concordia College as juniors and thanked the teams at both institutions for their hard work in creating the impressive articulated student pathways.

President George spoke of the importance of the long-term partnership between the two schools and the natural fit for WCC students to transfer to Concordia given the diversity of the student body and Concordia's location near the WCC campus.

Westchester Community College has long been the top source for transfer students at Concordia.

Through the new and enhanced articulation agreements, students can see clearly what is necessary to transfer to Concordia and be accepted as entering juniors. Concordia College also provides need-based aid for qualified students.
