Nov. 18, 2015: Sixth-grade students showcased their creativity and celebrated fall at the annual Sixth-Grade Pumpkin Display, held at The Bronxville School on October 27. The week prior to the exhibit, the students decorated their pumpkins using a variety of supplies they brought to class.
"Each year, they go above and beyond with their creativity on decorating the pumpkins," sixth-grade science teacher and team leader Frank Viggiani said of the students. "When you walk around to view all the pumpkins, you are simply amazed at some of the ideas the students came up with."
Viggiani said every student in the sixth grade was involved in creating his or her work of art during the advisory period. Some students worked in groups to combine several of their pumpkins into one theme for the display.
"The Sixth-Grade Pumpkin Display is a great way for sixth-grade students to work in their advisory groups on something creative and fun," Viggiani said.
