By Katharine Outcalt

Oct. 28, 2020: The Bronxville School Athletic Department is pleased to announce the launch of their new website. The new site https://athletics.bronxvilleschool.org/  is the work of former Athletic Director Karen Peterson, the PTA HS Athletic Council, and current Athletic Director Joe Haven.

In addition to up-to-date content, the new site features game schedules, athletic forms, news and event information, and full color photos of student-athletes. The website, which is mobile-friendly, is powered by FinalSite and was designed to provide students, parents, coaches, and community members with easy access to all Bronco Sports information.

As Bronxville enters their third week of Fall sports, the Bronco athletes are enjoying some sense of normalcy as they continue to compete. Though their Homecoming events were canceled due to Covid-19, the High School Athletic Department and PTA Athletic Councils made it a priority to honor the fall seniors at the start of the season to ensure their recognition in the face of a very uncertain season. With the luck of good weather on their side, 48 seniors were honored before the start of their first home game. Fall sports competing this season include boys and girls soccer, boys and girls cross country, girls tennis, and field hockey. Jackie Frawley, Bronxville's field hockey coach, expressed her appreciation for Senior Day in the following note;

Dear BXV Athletic Council & Athletic Department,

I want to express my appreciation on behalf of the Varsity Field Hockey team. Yesterday's senior game was above and beyond any expectations going into such an unknown school year and fall sports season. The organization behind the scenes certainly did not go unnoticed. From senior banners, game music and announcements, balloons, flowers, and most of all COVID considerations, it truly was a great day to be a Bronco!!

Sincerest thanks for making it happen for our 2020 student athletes!
