By Sherry Saturno, Executive Director, Gramatan Village

Apr. 29, 2020:  Gramatan Village has launched a new Pen Pal program between its members and students at Bronxville Middle School.

"Support and connection during these turbulent times is so vital," said Gramatan Village Executive Director Sherry Saturno, LCSW, LNHA, DCSW. "Thanks to the generosity and kindness of the Bronxville Middle School students, our members now have the opportunity to make an intergenerational new friend and share what's happening in their lives."

The students are mailing handwritten notes, cards, and artwork to Gramatan Village members, who reciprocate by sending letters of their own.

The students are also part of Gramatan Village's Techy Teen Club, working with older adults to help them with their iPhones, answer technology questions, and even organize Netflix Parties.

"This volunteerism makes a significant difference in our members' lives, and the students bring a great deal of sunshine to every activity," states Saturno.
