Feb. 12, 2020:  The Bronxville Middle School Squash team won both Division I and V titles at the Fairwest Middle School Squash Championship held at Chelsea Piers in Connecticut this past Saturday.

This is the ninth year in a row that Bronxville's first team has won Division I, which is truly impressive.  This year's team won without losing a single match.  The members of the winning team were Rustin Wiser, Thomas Sheumack,  Andrew Shah, Jackson Meyercord and Liam Neild.

Bronxville's second team placed third in Division II.  They had some great team matches, including a 3-2 win over Greenwich.  The members of the team were Ian Acharjee, Pierce Martin, Miles Jernigan, John Shah and Troy Neild.

Bronxville's third team won Division V.  They defeated Darien's Mixed C team and Hartford without losing a game and then had an outstanding 3-2 win over Squash Haven 3.  The members of the third team were Emery Vitrano, Quentin McCarthy, Matteo DelPrete, Spencer Martin, and Finn DeMarr.

“I’m so proud of all of our teams!" commented Marisa Sheumack, parent coordinator of the Bronxville Middle School Squash program. "They fought hard and played so well”

Bronxville is a member of the Fairwest Public School Squash Association, which was founded in 2008 to enable public school students in Westchester and Fairfield Counties to play squash in a competitive interscholastic environment.
