Wednesday, May 15, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Gramatan Village's May Magic Benefit, Bronxville Field Club. Paige Nagle, dedicated Bronxville community member, will be honored at Gramatan Village’s annual May Magic benefit on Wednesday, May 15, at the Bronxville Field Club from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Saturday, May 18, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care May Benefit Cocktail Celebration. Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care will host its annual May Benefit Cocktail Celebration on Saturday, May 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The benefit will take place at the home of Won and Ken Giuriceo in Bronxville. This festive event will include live jazz and hors d'oeuvres. Sunday, May 19, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Family Fun Stop, Bicycle Sunday on Bronx River Parkway Hosted by NYP Lawrence Hospital. NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital will be hosting a family fun stop during this Sunday's Bicycle Sunday celebration along the Bronx River Parkway at the rest stop between Harney Road and Leewood drive (Exits 9 and 10) on the northbound lane of the parkway. On select Sundays during May through September, a 6.5-mile stretch of the Bronx River Parkway from White Plains to Yonkers is closed to motor traffic and open for bicyclists, skaters, joggers, and walkers. There will be activities, free ice cream, healthy snacks and water, giveaways, and music provided by WHUD 100.7 radio, as well as an opportunity to meet some of the physicians and physical therapists from NYP Lawrence Hospital, ColumbiaDoctors, and the NYP Sports Performance Institute.
Tuesday, May 21, Vote on Bronxville School Budget, Fund Transfer Proposition, and Election of Trustees. There will be a vote for the Bronxville School budget, a fund transfer proposition on the 2019 construction project, and the election of three school board trustees.
Wednesday, May 15, to Wednesday, May 22, Seminars, Support Groups, Group Meetings, and Classes at NewYork-Presbyterian. NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital will be holding the following:
On Wednesday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 22, a joint replacement seminar from 9:45 to 11:15 am in the hospital lobby conference room (to register, call 914-787-2119) and an aphasia support group meeting from 2:00 to 3:00 pm led by a NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital speech therapist in the speech office in the Rehab Department on the first floor of Palmer Hall (to register, call Dahna Stadtmauer at 914-787-3373).
On Thursday, May 16, a bariatric patient reunion from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Bronxville Field Club (call 718-881-7800 or email
to register) for a reunion of weight loss surgery patients featuring dinner, dancing, a cooking demonstration, and prizes.
On Saturday, May 18, a childbirth class taught by certified Lamaze instructors from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in the hospital lobby conference room (tour of the Center for Maternal-Child Health included; $200; to register, call 914-787-5044).
