Wednesday, May 8, 7:00 pm, Parents Against Vaping E-cigarettes Presentation, Concordia College. PAVe (Parents Against Vaping E-cigarettes) will be giving a presentation at Concordia College's Pietruski Auditorium on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 pm in which the Juuling/vaping epidemic spreading through middle and high schools will be discussed. The event is sponsored by Stronger Together, Bronxville/Eastchester/Tuckahoe Coalition.
Wednesday, May 8, 7:30 pm, NPC Reception at Bronxville Field Club to Meet School Board Candidates. The Bronxville Committee for the Non-Partisan Nomination and Election of School Trustees will host a reception on Wednesday, May 8, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at the Bronxville Field Club to meet the nominees it has chosen as its candidates to fill three vacant seats for the Bronxville Board of Education.
Thursday, May 9, 5:30 pm, Destination: College to Screen Film at Bronxville Library. The organization Destination: College, which supports high school athletes at underserved high schools in Westchester, will be screening a film called Personal Statement about low-income students navigating the college admissions process at 5:30 pm in the Yeager Room of the Bronxville Public Library. The Bronxville Board of Education will hold a regular meeting and a budget hearing in the multipurpose room of The Bronxville School. Friday, May 10, George McKinnis to be Honored by Reformed Church and Rotary Club at Bronxville Field Club. The Reformed Church of Bronxville and the Bronxville Rotary Club will be honoring Judge George C. McKinnis with a Lifetime of Community Service Award for his decades of service presiding over the Bronxville Justice Court and for his variety of positions in village government, community organizations, and Bronxville Rotary. Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, 7:00 pm, Bronxville Middle School Musical, Honk!, Jr. The Bronxville Middle School will be performing Honk!, Jr., an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's tale "The Ugly Duckling," in the Bronxville School auditorium at 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11. Saturday, May 11, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Bronxville Village Safety Awareness Day, Village Hall. The Village of Bronxville Building Department will be hosting a Safety Awareness Day on Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in recognition of Building Safety Month. There will be various organizations at the event, including first responders and state and local agencies, and information for residents and business owners.
