Apr. 17, 2019: Below are events that will take place in and around Bronxville from Wednesday, April 17, to Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Wednesday, April 17, to Wednesday, April 24, Seminars and Support Groups at NYP Lawrence Hospital. NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital will be holding the following:

On Wednesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 24, a joint replacement seminar from 9:45 to 11:15 am in the hospital lobby conference room (to register, call 914-787-2119).

On Thursday, April 18, a living with cancer support group led by licensed clinical social workers from Gilda's Club from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the cancer center conference room on the hospital's first floor (to register, call 914-644-8844, ext. 133, or email Deborah Vincent at CLOAKING ).

Thursday, April 18, 6:30 pm, CBS-RV Anchor Mary Calvi to Discuss New Book at Sarah Lawrence. News anchor and award-winning TV reporter for WCBS-TV Mary Calvi will discuss how she uncovered a love affair between George Washington and heiress Mary Eliza Philipse while researching her book, Dear George, Dear Mary. The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the Wrexham Living Room, 1 Mead Way, on the campus of the college.

Friday, April 19, 8:00 pm, Coffeehouse at Bronxville Women's Club. Al Hemberger, owner of The Loft Recording Studio, is the host and provides the musicians, who will be Christopher Brown and Artie Tobia. The admission fee is $10, which covers basic snacks, tea, and coffee. Reservations are required only for parties of five or more. For more information, call 914-337-3252 or email CLOAKING .

Tuesday, April 23, 7:00 pm, Bronxville Board of Education Meeting. There will be a meeting of the Bronxville Board of Education in the multipurpose room of the school. The executive session will begin at 6:00 pm, and the public session will begin at approximately 7:00 pm. Click here for more information.

Tuesday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 24, Piano Trio at Sarah Lawrence. The Weiss Kaplan Stumpf Trio, current holder of Sarah Lawrence College's Jean Wentworth Music Residency, will give two free public concerts, an afternoon concert on Tuesday, April 23, at 1:30 pm, and an evening concert on Wednesday, April 24, at 7:30 pm, both in Reisinger Auditorium on the campus of the college.

Wednesday, April 24, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, White Elephant and Baked Goods Sale and Luncheon at Bronxville Women's Club. From 10:00 am to 4:00 am, there will be a white elephant and baked goods sale open to all at The Bronxville Women's Club, with proceeds going to the Cancer Support Team. At noon, there will be a catered lunch for the Cancer Support Team; for reservations, call 914-337-3252 or email CLOAKING .
