Wednesday, September 26, to Sunday, September 30, Active Aging Week in Bronxville. Active Aging Week in Bronxville kicked off on Sunday, September 23, with the opening of the Speeder 55+ Art Show, which runs through October 27. Thursday, September 27, 6:30 to 8:00 pm, College Admissions Testing Information Session, Bronxville Library. Isaac Foster, CEO of Bespoke Education, will lead a free information session from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Bronxville Public Library for parents and students on the most up-to-date information about everything you need to know about the SAT, ACT, and subject matter tests. Register for this seminar in advance by emailing CLOAKING .

Thursday, September 27, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Maxwell Institute Presentation on Substance Abuse and Trunk Show. The advisory board of The Maxwell Institute will host a trunk show and informative session at the home of Angela and John Seminary, 5 Middle Road in Bronxville, called “Hidden in Plain Sight.” Lillian Neuman, director of outreach services at Maxwell, will present a replica of a teenager’s bedroom with hidden substance use references and paraphernalia. Thursday, September 27, 7:00 pm, Edgar Allan Poe Impersonator and Music, Concordia College. At 7:00 pm in the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts on the campus of Concordia College, Edgar Allan Poe (embodied by a historical interpreter) will read from his work, accompanied by period music from Concordia Conservatory faculty. Friday, September 28, 6:00 to 10:00 pm, "Dinner with Edgar Allan Poe" and Award Given to Silas and Vicki Ford at Eastchester Historical Society. From 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Marble Schoolhouse in Eastchester, the Eastchester Historical Society will hold its annual fall event, "Dinner with Edgar Allan Poe," with Poe impersonator Charles Wissinger, and Silas and Vicki Ford will be awarded for their civic work. There will be cocktails, a four-course dinner, and a raffle. Tickets can be purchased online at under the events tab.  

Friday, September 28, 7:00 pm, Bereavement Center Tree House Rock Benefit The Bereavement Center of Westchester will hold its very first Tree House Rock Benefit to support its cornerstone program for grieving children, the Tree House, at 7:00 pm at "The Pando" at Larchmont Yacht Club. Go to for more information or call 914-787-5001 for tickets.

Friday and Saturday, September 28 and 29, Bronxville Sidewalk Sale. Businesses in Bronxville will exhibit their wares on the sidewalks in the village; hours vary by business.

Saturday, September 29, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, NYP Lawrence Hospital "Be Well Bash," Bronxville High School Lawn. NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital will be hosting the “Be Well Bash,” a wellness and injury prevention event for all ages from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, rain or shine, on the front lawn of Bronxville High School. Saturday, September 29, 7:00 pm, Night at the Opera at Reformed Church. The Reformed Church of Bronxville will present a concert of famous opera arias, duets, trios, and quartets sung by esteemed section leaders and guest soloists at 7:00 pm. The performance will be held in the church's Edwards Hall, so arrive early, as seating is limited. Admission is free, and a reception will follow the performance. Sunday, September 30, 4:00 pm, Bronxville Poets Read at Bronxville Library. Three poets, John Barr, Marjorie Mir, and Chris Goff, will read from their works at 4:00 pm in the Yeager Room of the Bronxville Public Library. The reading is free and open to the public and will include a reception with book sales and signing. Sunday, September 30, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Bike Challenge for One Love Foundation. The One Love Foundation is hosting the first-ever “Yards for Yeardley: Bike Sunday Challenge” from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, open to cyclists, joggers, and walkers. Monday, October 1, 6:00 pm, Long-Range Planning Workshop of Bronxville Board of Education. There will be a long-range planning workshop for the Bronxville Board of Education at 6:00 pm in the auditorium lobby of the school. Click here for more information.
