Wednesday, June 20, 7:30 pm, Summer Literary Seminar Reading at Sarah Lawrence: Jess Walter & Natalie Diaz will feature Jess Walter, author of Beautiful Ruins, and Natalie Diaz, author of When my Brother was an Aztec, sharing and discussing their works. The event will take place on the campus of Sarah Lawrence College in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center’s Donnelley Film Theatre, 917 Kimball Avenue. Saturday, June 23, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Publish & Promote Your Book Conference at Sarah Lawrence. The Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College’s fifth annual Publish & Promote Your Book Conference will take place on Saturday, June 23, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on the college’s campus. Prominent New York City literary agents, major publishing house editors, and social media and public relations experts will be speaking at this comprehensive symposium designed for serious writers who want to get their work published. For more information and to register, go to

Sunday, June 24, 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Author Margaret Lynch-Brennan on Irish Immigrant Women, Bartow-Pell Mansion. Margaret Lynch-Brennan, PhD, will give a presentation about her book, The Irish Bridget: Irish Immigrant Women in Domestic Service in America, 1840-1930, in the Bartow-Pell Mansion at 2:00 pmAfter the presentation, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an opening reception for Bartow-Pell's new interpretive space on the third floor.
