Thursday, May 17, 7:30 pm, documentary film Living While Dying, Pelham Picture House. The 45-minute film about four individuals at the end of their lives will be followed by a panel discussion with the audience. The panel includes the filmmaker Cathy Zheutlin, her 92-year old mother, Jonnie Zheutlin, the president of Westchester End-of-Life Coalition, Christina Staudt, and the bereavement and volunteer coordinator at Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care, Laura Hanlon. Friday, May 18, 7:30 pm, Student Composers Concert, Concordia College. There will be a concert of works by student composers and songwriters, ages 10 to 17, at 7:30 pm in the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts on the campus of Concordia College. Hear It Live! is the Conservatory’s annual showcase for student composers and songwriters. Saturday, May 19, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Bronxville Take-Back Day, Bronxville Village Hall
Bronxville will be collecting paper, e-waste, furniture, and sports items for recycling from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bronxville Village Hall. The county mobile shredder will be onsite. Saturday, May 19, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care May Benefit. Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care will be hosting its annual May Benefit Cocktail Celebration on Saturday, May 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This year the benefit will take place at the home of Mary Louise and James Hayden, 9 Fordal Road, Bronxville. The evening will include live jazz, hors d’oeuvres, and gift bags. Sunday, May 20, 4:00 pm, Jayne Warman Lectures on the Art of Bronxville, Bronxville Library. Art historian and curator Jayne Warman will present a slide show and lecture titled "The Art of Bronxville: Two Remarkable Collections" on May 20, at 4:00 pm at the Bronxville Public Library.
