Apr. 25, 2018:  The Bronxville boys’ varsity lacrosse team hit its stride over the past week, winning four straight games. On Wednesday, the team won 16-7 at Nyack. The Broncos’ attack line contributed 14 of the team’s 16 goals; Alston Tarry had 6, Griffin Gelinas, 5, and George Daskalakis, 3. On Thursday, the Bronco defense came up big, shutting out league opponent Blind Brook, with the final score 22-0. Scoring was balanced, with 11 players contributing a goal or assist.

On Saturday, the team traveled to Somers and in a very closely contested back-and-forth game, the Broncos ultimately prevailed 12-11. With the game tied at 11-all and 30 seconds remaining in regulation, Tarry scored on an assist from Gelinas to clinch the victory. Tarry led all scorers with 6 goals and 3 assists; Gelinas added 3 goals and 2 assists. The Broncos were helped by tenacious play at the wings and face-off by sophomores Nate Davis and Tim Murray, who each also scored one goal.
