:  The Bronxville Public Library will hold a board of trustees meeting at 7:00 pm in the board room of the library. For more information, call 914-337-7680 or go to

Friday, June 9:  The Tuckahoe-Eastchester Lions Club will honor Tim McGrath and Leonard Spano at Mulino's at Lake Isle. The evening will begin with cocktails, which will be followed by dinner and dancing. Tickets are $90 per person. Saturday, June 10:  Take-back day will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Palumbo Place behind Bronxville Village Hall. Items accepted for recycling will be furniture (used but still usable), old linens, e-waste, and paper documents (two-carton limit). Saturday, June 10:  The Bronxville Beautification Council will be holding a fundraising garden party at 4:00 pm in Bob and Sarah Underhill's garden. To buy tickets, call Johanna at 914-584-0043 or email  CLOAKING .

Saturday, June 10:  There will be a community barbecue catered by Powell's of Westchester from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Eastchester Town Hall. The cost is $20 per person, or $50 per family, which includes food, soft drinks, beer, and wine. Face-painting and other activities for children are planned. The guest of honor will be local historian and author Eloise Morgan.

Sunday, June 11:  In honor of longtime Bronxville resident, village historian, and author Eloise Morgan, who is moving to the West Coast this summer, there will be a farewell fundraiser. The Eloise Morgan Fund for the Bronxville History Center will support archival acquisition, for which there is limited funding in the village budget. For more information, email  CLOAKING .

Sunday, June 11:  Puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats from several local animal shelters and rescue groups will be available for adoption from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Hartsdale Pet Cemetery, 75 North Central Avenue in Hartsdale. Shelter Pet Alliance, a Bronxville-based nonprofit institution, is sponsoring the event.
