Wednesday, May 3
:  The Bronxville Women's Club will be holding an afternoon of lunch, entertainment, and games starting at noon at its clubhouse, the Anna Lawrence Bisland 1928 House, at 135 Midland Avenue. For more information, call 914-337-3252 or go to www.bronxvillewomensclub.org.

Wednesday, May 3:  A poetry reading and talk titled "Poetry and the Moment: A Demonstration/Lecture" will be given by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and Sarah Lawrence College professor Vijay Seshadri at 7:00 pm in the Donnelley Theatre at the Heimbold Visual Arts Center on the campus of Sarah Lawrence College, 915 Kimball Avenue. Thursday, May 4:  Isaac Foster, Bespoke Education's CEO, will conduct a free seminar for parents and students at the Bronxville Public Library at 6:45 pm that will be an introduction to the college admissions tests: what they are and when to take them. Families will receive the most up-to-date information about the SAT, ACT, and SAT Subject Tests. Registration is required; send attendees' names to  CLOAKING  by April 24.

Thursday, May 4:  Carolyn Vega, assistant curator of literary and historical manuscripts at the Morgan Library & Museum, will be discussing the Morgan's current exhibition, "I'm Nobody! Who are you?":  The Life and Poetry of Emily Dickinson at 7:00 pm at OSilas Gallery on the campus of Concordia College. Light refreshments will be provided. Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6:  The Bronxville Middle School will be performing the musical Bye Bye Birdie at 7:00 pm each evening in the Bronxville School auditorium. Tickets are available for purchase online through Eventbrite, where you can select specific seats in advance, or at the door on the night of the show. Saturday, May 6:  The Bronxville Historical Conservancy will be sponsoring a PowerPoint presentation at the Bronxville Public Library at 3:00 pm by Anthony Czarnecki, a member of the Westchester County Historical Society and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, titled "A Golden Interval: The Kennedys in Bronxville." A tea reception will follow this free lecture and no reservations are required. Saturday, May 6:  The Bronxville Women's Club will be holding a Kentucky Derby family party at 4:00 pm at its clubhouse, the Anna Lawrence Bisland 1928 House, at 135 Tanglewylde Avenue. Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7:  The Reformed Church of Bronxville will present a two-day music festival commencing at 3:00 pm each day featuring the works of J.S. Bach. Musicians will perform on historic instruments on Saturday; on Sunday, the Reformation Cantata No. 79, the Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, and the Orchestral Suite No. 2 will be performed, and the various choirs of the church will be featured. Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7:  West Center Congregational Church will hold a spring tag sale from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday and 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday that will include household goods, plants, artwork, picture frames, baked goods, bric-a-brac, gifts (some suitable for Mother's Day and Father's Day), and CDs. There will be an area with some gently used and vintage clothing and accessories, a special table with nicer gifts, and a unique collection of pigs, ceramic and other forms. For more information, call the church office at 914-337-3829, email the church at CLOAKING , or go to West Center's website, www.westcenterchurch.org.

Sunday, May 7:  Brownie Troop 1508 will be selling cookies outside Value Drugs from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to raise funds for The Community Fund.

Sunday, May 7:  Gramatan Village will hold its annual May Magic Benefit at 5:00 pm at Siwanoy Country Club. Schatze and Peter Thorp will be honored, and there will be a wine-and-hors-d'oeuvres reception with entertainment. For information and reservations, contact the Gramatan Village office at 914-337-1338.

Monday, May 8:  The Community Fund's 31st Annual Golf Outing will be held at Siwanoy Country Club. The golfing portion is sold out, but evening festivities, which include cocktails, a buffet dinner, a raffle, and silent and live auctions, begin at 5:00 pm. Wednesday, May 10:  There will be a welcome reception from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the lobby of the Bronxville School auditorium to meet Dr. Roy Montesano, the new superintendent of the Bronxville Union Free School District, who will take office on July 1.
