Thursday, April 27:  There will be an opening reception of artwork by Concordia College students in the visual arts and new media programs at 7:00 pm at OSilas Gallery on the campus of Concordia College. The exhibition runs from April 27 to May 13. For more information, go to

Friday, April 28:  The Friends of Sarah Lawrence College Library invite the community to a screening of the documentary Dear Babe at 4:00 pm. A conversation between the filmmaker, Rosanne Ehrlich, and Sarah Lawrence College film professor Robin Starbuck will follow the one-hour film. The event will take place in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center on the campus of Sarah Lawrence College and will include a reception afterward with the filmmaker. The film follows Mike, an idealistic young Jewish-American man who joins the war to fight fascism but transforms into a disillusioned man who has witnessed the horror of the Holocaust during the liberation of the Ohrdruf concentration camp. The event is free and open to the public. Saturday, April 29:  The annual Reformed Church Clothing Sale will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in Congregational Hall at the corner of Midland Avenue and Kraft Avenue.

Sunday, April 29:  The Bronxville Rotary Club's annual dinner and auction will be held at 6:00 pm at Siwanoy Country Club and will honor Dr. David Quattrone, superintendent of the Bronxville schools. Tuesday, May 2:  The Committee for the Non-Partisan Nomination and Election of School Trustees will be hosting a meet-and-greet reception at 7:30 pm at the Bronxville Field Club for the two candidates for the Bronxville Board of Education, Michael Finley and Jennifer Russo. All Bronxville residents are welcome to attend this informal gathering. For more information, go to

Wednesday, May 3:  A poetry reading and talk titled "Poetry and the Moment: A Demonstration/Lecture" will be given by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and Sarah Lawrence College professor Vijay Seshadri at 7:00 pm in the Donnelley Theatre at the Heimbold Visual Arts Center on the campus of Sarah Lawrence College, 915 Kimball Avenue.
