Robert’s Restoration Gallery, purveyor of antiques right here in Bronxville, sells antique furniture that co-owner Robert Weis has either finished or restored. He and his partner/wife Annette also sell glassware, collectibles, art, and light fixtures. Here's more from Robert:
We have a refinishing shop in Yonkers where I restore and repair all types of furniture as well as do all interior and exterior woodwork of both residential and commercial properties. We have been selling antiques here in Bronxville for over 15 years. I've always had an interest in antiques and collecting. My grandmother had an antique store and I started collecting comic books at a very young age.
My first job in the "furniture" business was as a mover and then I got a job as an assistant to a furniture refinisher. I learned quickly and discovered that I really loved what I was doing. After some time, I developed my craft and I was able to open my own refinishing shop. Robert's started as a refinishing shop in Mahopac 25 years ago. Nine years later I realized that I had collected enough of my own furniture that I could open my own antique store.
After 25+ years in the refinishing business I now have a wealth of information and knowledge about furniture. Our customers can buy a piece from us that has been restored, or they can bring in their own piece that may need a little work. We will change the color and/or the finish to fit your décor.
