Bronxville Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair this Friday and Saturday, June 6 & 7; See List of Bargains
Jun. 4, 2014: The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce announces the Bronxville Spring Sidewalk Sale, scheduled for Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, and the Park Place Street Fair, to be held on Saturday, June 7.
Free parking is offered in the Garden Avenue lot, Kraft Avenue lot, and the Avalon lot, plus along Pondfield Road, Studio Arcade, Parkway Road, and Palmer Avenue, compliments of the Village of Bronxville (meters in effect elsewhere).
The sidewalk sale takes place both days, rain or shine, with bargains galore throughout the village. Many stores participate, offering discounts as high as 70% off regular prices. Some stores include a sale both outdoors and inside.
The Park Place Street Fair (10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 7) features vendors, entertainment, children's activities, and dining in the street. Park Place is closed to vehicular traffic for the day. The entertainment lineup includes a performance by SHA!capella--a local group of students that has performed at Madison Square Garden--as well as rock bands and more. The entertainment is sponsored by Citrine, a jewelry store at 22 Park Place.
A highlight for kids is the Fabio's Hair Studio tent, which offers children's hairstyles (up-dos and/or colored hair spray and sparkles) and makeup for $5. Play the $1 dice game: Get three chances to win a free haircut when you roll a six. This will be offered on Friday in front of Fabio's Hair Studio on Parkway Road and on Saturday at the Park Place Street Fair.
The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce will have a table set up both days (on Friday at 66 Pondfield Road; on Saturday on Park Place), with offerings including a sidewalk sale directory and free eco-friendly bags--sponsored by Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate, James Van Metter Wealth Management, and Joseph F. Manzi, DDS--that include handouts and giveaways.
On Saturday only, there will be free face painting (times TBA) and sidewalk chalk for kids to use as they decorate the sidewalks of Bronxville. Plus, those who aren't signed up for the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce's e-newsletter can enter a raffle for a chance to win exciting prizes--including a gift card to the new SoulCycle opening in Bronxville this June, plus other great prizes generously donated by Adrian East, Bow Tie Cinemas, Fabio's Hair Studio, and Lyte Body Fitness.

Adrian East: On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Adrian East is offering 20% off in-store merchandise and up to 70% off on the numerous racks outside (at least six). This sale starts Thursday night and goes from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. 122 Kraft Ave.
Apple Bank for Savings will be giving out bags containing little gifts along with valuable info about free checking for individuals and businesses. Kids will get coloring books and info on the youth savings account for kids 6 to 17. 85 Pondfield Rd.
