Dennis John Hayes Dies December 6, 2013: Service Today (Wednesday) at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church

Dec. 11, 2013:  Bronxville resident Dennis John Hayes, courageous champion, handsome husband, fabulous father, best brother, accomplished attorney, fun friend, and great guy, died Friday, December 6, at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Dennis led the New York State Insurance Fund as chief executive deputy director. He served in New York State government during four administrations and his guiding philosophy was always integrity, fairness, and efficiency.

He leaves behind his wife, Marianne Carey Hayes, and children, Owen Dennis Carey Hayes and Delia Helen Ann Carey Hayes, and family dog, Rosie.  He is the son of the late Ann Hayes.  

He is forever with us.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Wednesday, December 11, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Department of Neurology, 633 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10017, Attention: Joan Carter
