Jan. 8, 2014: Zoë Brooks Klimley died unexpectedly in the company of her family on January 2, 2014. The cause of death was a blood clot that ran to her heart. She was 17 years old at the time of her death.
Born September 23, 1996, Zoë spent her early childhood in Bronxville, where she grew up as a triplet with her brothers, Graham and Preston.
From an early age, Zoë was blessed with an indefatigable spirit and joy for life. She was an excellent student and an accomplished athlete. Zoë matriculated to The Taft School in 2011.
While at Taft, Zoë was an honor roll student, she acted as a class monitor for her dorm, and she was elected co-president of her class committee in each eligible term.
At the conclusion of her sophomore year, Zoë was elected by her peers to captain the Taft women's crew team and, following the school year, she competed for the Pelham Community Rowing Association.
Zoë was radiant every day and in everything she did. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her smile, dazzling. In addition to her brothers, Zoë will be deeply missed by her parents, Laura and Brooks, surviving family members, and all who knew her.
