Reverend Monsignor James F. Doyle, Former Pastor of St. Joseph’s Church, Dies February 15, 2014

Feb. 19, 2014:  Reverend Monsignor James F. Doyle, a former pastor of St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville, died on February 15, 2014.

He was the loving son of the late Margaret and Gerald Doyle, dear brother of Mary (Ronald) Hanley, Ellen (Frank) Palma, and the late Gerald Doyle, beloved uncle of Elizabeth, Karen, Susan, and Christine, and great uncle of Maura, William, Piper, Cooper, and Grace.

Ordained in 1959, Msgr. Doyle served as a parish priest for the Archdiocese of New York until his retirement in 2013. He served in the parishes of St. Mary's, Annunciation, and Good Counsel (Administrator), and he served as pastor of St. Emeric's in New York City, St. Margaret's in Pearl River, and St. Joseph's in Bronxville.

Calling hours will be held at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm and at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm on Wednesday, February 19.

A Mass of the High Priest will be held at St. Joseph's Church on Wednesday, February 19, at 7:30 pm and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held the church on Thursday, February 20, at 10:00 am.
