Oct. 15, 2014: Edward Karl Thomas Sr., former Bronxville resident and Bronxville High School graduate Class of 1958, died at his home in Desert Edge, California, at the age of 74, with his wife, Margherite "Daisy" Boyer, by his side.
Ed was born on May 28, 1940. He was the son of Karl and Helen Thomas, both deceased (Karl, 1995; Helen, 2003). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Anita, who died on November 11, 1985. He is survived by his son, Edward Karl Thomas Jr., and wife, Eileen, and their children, Kaitlyn (16) and Harrison (7); his daughter, Alicia (Thomas) Turenchalk, her husband, Scott, and their three sons, Michael (11), Evan (10), and Andrew (8); his wife, Daisy, her son, Chris, and his wife, Vicky, and their two sons; and his nephew, Christopher (Anita's son), and their daughters, Katelyn and Emily.
The Thomas family owned Bronx Florist Supply, where Mr. Thomas worked until he had a stroke in 1997.
