Local Covid Report: Cases In Bronxville Have More Than Doubled in the Last Two Weeks

Mar. 17, 2021: While vaccinations are underway in the eligible population in New York State, Covid-19 is on the rise in the Bronxville community. In fact, as of March 14, there were 39 active Covid-19 cases in Bronxville. This is 2 1/2 times the number of cases two weeks ago.
Our neighboring towns are not experiencing this uptick. Cases continue to decline in Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Eastchester and Tuckahoe. You can view the Westchester Covid-19 interactive map here.
Overall, as of March 14, the New York State positivity rate (past seven days) was 4.6%. The Westchester positivity rate was 4.9%.

School News
The New York State Covid-19 Schools Report Card shows that, as of March 15, there were 21 cases in the Bronxville School in the past 14 days, including 6 in the high school, 5 in the middle school, and 10 in the elementary school.

Vaccination News
The New York State Vaccine Tracker shows that as of March 15 at 11 am, 4.57 million New Yorkers had received at least one Covid-19 Vaccine dose and 2.37 million had completed the vaccine series.
