'One Square Mile' on Cable Channels 74 and 47 Features New Businesses in Town

Oct. 23, 2013: Body and spirit are top of the mind in the latest edition of One Square Mile, Bronxville’s public affairs cable television program hosted by Mayor Mary Marvin.

A new trendy spot to wine, dine, and lift your spirits, a personal training studio to tone your body, and a unique concierge service for the body of your car are among the new businesses featured in this fall edition.

Community spirit comes into focus with updates on preservation projects by the Bronxville Historical Conservancy and a welcome winter extension of Bronxville's fabulous Farmers' Market.

Susan Miele, executive director of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce, joins Mayor Marvin in introducing what's new.

Ernie's Wine Bar + Eats is at the crossroads of delicious and unusual, says Philip Hedger, who, along with his wife, Geraldine, created the new wine bar on Sagamore Road. Philip tells the mayor that wine is the star in this new establishment, and the "eats" are simple and honest and very tasty, and, of course, they complement the wine.

Lily Martin, co-owner and head trainer of Lyte Body Fitness, has created a studio at 27 Milburn Street where clients receive an uplifting and rejuvenating total body experience rather than a simple, ordinary workout. She and Roger Petho, husband and partner, share their thoughts on the services they offer that help transform. Their goal: bodies that are long, lean, sculpted, and light . . . thus the name Lyte Body Fitness.

Ultimate Auto Body, a unique concierge service available 24/7, has opened at 50 Palmer Avenue. The manager, Andrew Perez, notes that this is the collision repair service's third location in Westchester County and enthusiastically says that it offers unbelievable service and exceptional work.

Exceptional commitment to the community is clearly evident in Mayor Marvin's interview with Bronxville Historical Conservancy co-chairs Judy Unis and Bill Dowling. They share news about the organization's efforts in preserving a time-worn sundial, bringing cherished art back to Bronxville, leading efforts to restore our community's treasured timepiece, maintaining its yellow brick roads, and defining its landscape over time.

A final segment shares news of a winter's extension to the popular Farmers' Market residents enjoy each Saturday. Mary Liz Mulligan tells viewers what they can look forward to in the coming cold months.

One Square Mile, dedicated to sharing the best of Bronxville, is produced by Nancy Vittorini and videotaped and edited by Peter North. The program schedule can be found online at http://tuckahoetv.org/bronxville.html and on cable channels 74 (Cablevision) and 47 (Verizon FIOS).
