"Oakledge," located at 5 Oakledge Road in Bronxville, has just come on the market for $13,750,000. Sheila Stoltz of Houlihan Lawrence, an associate broker, is the listing agent for Oakledge.
Bronxville Homeowner Charged with Securities Fraud and Wire Fraud in Scheme to Defraud Investors of $95 Million, by Carol P. Bartold
Mar. 30, 2016: Arrested on Saturday evening, March 26, at LaGuardia Airport, Bronxville homeowner Andrew Caspersen, a former partner in the firm PJT Partners Inc., appeared in federal court in Manhattan on Monday to face charges of securities fraud and wire fraud.

Seven graduates are headed to Ivy League schools. ... Eleven graduates will pursue their education at one of the nation's top 30 liberal arts colleges as ranked by U.S. News & World Report. ... It's not the type of call the owner of a construction renovation management firm would wait for or even expect, but it came for Artie Lange, president of Arthur Lange Inc. "I got a phone call from a local designer I had worked with," Lange said. "She had done some HGTV work and had gotten a call saying that the Property Brothers were looking for a good contractor to work with, someone whose work would be able to translate to the screen."

Donald Trump Wins Presidential Election in Stunning Victory, by Staff
Nov. 9, 2016: Bronxvillians woke up today to the surprise victory of Donald Trump as president of the United States. At the local level, however, Hillary Clinton carried the day. According to the unofficial voting results posted on the Westchester County Board of Elections website at 5:30 am, Hillary Clinton won 65% of the vote in Westchester County. President-elect Donald Trump won 32%. The actual vote count was 245,670 votes for Clinton and 121,643 for Trump.

Jan. 27, 2016: On Wednesday, January 20, at about 11:27 am, police responded to Pondfield Road and Tanglewylde Avenue to investigate an automobile accident involving a pedestrian.

Bronxville is a quaint village (one square mile) located just 16 miles north of midtown Manhattan (roughly 30 minutes on the train) and has a population of approximately 6,500. It is known as a premier community with an excellent public school (K-12) and easy access to Manhattan. Bronxville offers many amenities including an attractive business district, a hospital (Lawrence Hospital), public paddle and tennis courts, fine dining at local restaurants, two private country clubs and a community library.
While the earliest settlers of Bronxville date back to the first half of the 18th century, the history of the modern suburb of Bronxville began in 1890 when William Van Duzer Lawrence purchased a farm and commissioned the architect, William A. Bates, to design a planned community of houses for well-known artists and professionals that became a thriving art colony. This community, now called Lawrence Park, is listed on the National register of Historic Places and many of the homes still have artists’ studios. A neighborhood association within Lawrence Park called “The Hilltop Association” keeps this heritage alive with art shows and other events for neighbors.
Bronxville offers many charming neighborhoods as well as a variety of living options for residents including single family homes, town houses, cooperatives and condominiums. One of the chief benefits of living in “the village” is that your children can attend the Bronxville School.
The Bronxville postal zone (10708, known as “Bronxville PO”) includes the village of Bronxville as well as the Chester Heights section of Eastchester, parts of Tuckahoe and the Lawrence Park West, Cedar Knolls, Armour Villa and Longvale sections of Yonkers. Many of these areas have their own distinct character. For instance, the Armour Villa section has many historic homes and even has its own newsletter called “The Villa Voice” which reports on neighborhood news.
