Bronxville High School Seniors Share Day with Bronxville Senior Citizens

By Rev. Karla Hay Diserens, Director, Bronxville Senior Citizens

Jun. 22, 2016:  On Thursday, June 9, the annual visit of Bronxville High School seniors to Bronxville Senior Citizens (BSC) took place.

Every year during their Senior Week, graduating students visit senior centers in Bronxville, Tuckahoe, or Eastchester.

Nearly 40 students visited the BSC program at The Reformed Church of Bronxville, conducting cellphone and iPad support sessions and playing bridge, Uno, Scrabble, and checkers.

They then joined BSC for a lively exercise class lead by Evey Riccobono, shared a pizza lunch, and closed the day with music some of them had performed at their baccalaureate on June 12.

Both groups appreciated the give-and-take of the activities. It is one of the most joyful days of the BSC program year.
