Tuesday, January 23, 1:30 to 3:00 pm: Music Tuesday Presents the Ulysses Quartet with Martin Goldray & Lucy Hatem. The Ulysses Quartet, together with Martin Goldray on piano and Lucy Hatem on clarinet, will be performing in Reisinger Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center at 40 Glen Washington Road.
Thursday, January 25, 12:30 to 1:30 pm: Film Screening of Stag’s Mirror, Followed by Discussion with Director Robin Starbuck and Una Chung. Stag's Mirror is a short experimental film on the indigenous people of Chiapas, Mexico. The screening and discussion will take place in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center Screening Room at 917 Kimball Avenue.
Thursday, January 25, 5:00 to 6:30 pm: Ami Omo Art Exhibition Opening Reception. The Ami Omo exhibition, on display from January 25 through March 4 in the Barbara Walters Gallery in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center at 917 Kimball Avenue, will feature works by visual and studio arts faculty member Lucas Blalock, with Asha Schechter, Chris Wiley, Emile Rubino, Gabriela Salazar, Jonathan Ehrenberg, Laura Tiffin, Lior Modan, Ragen Moss, Sacha Ingber, and Stuart Hawkins.
Tuesday, January 30, 1:30 to 3:00 pm: Martin Goldray Lecture, "Dewey and the Experience of Classical Music." This lecture will be given by music faculty member Martin Goldray as part of the Inaugural Year series, a year-long exploration of the theme Democracy and Education in conjunction with the arrival of the college's eleventh president, Cristle Collins Judd. The lecture will take place in Reisinger Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center at 40 Glen Washington Road.
Saturday, February 3, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm: 1st Annual Social Justice Conference, "Our Liberation" Summit. The first annual social justice conference at Sarah Lawrence College, themed "Our Liberation" in honor of Australian activist Lilla Watson, is a call to all who work in the name of social justice to work, fight, and make space for change for us all. The goal of this conference is to help create space for all who want to be in this process of learning and sharing about social identity and social justice. The conference will take place at the Donnelley Film Theatre in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center at 917 Kimball Avenue.
Thursday, February 8, 5:00 to 7:00 pm: Film Screening of I’m Not Racist, Am I? This documentary asks questions about how the next generation is going to confront racism. Twelve teenagers from New York City were brought together for one school year to talk about race and privilege in a series of workshops and in conversations with friends and family members. In documenting their experience, the filmmakers hope to inspire others to recognize and interrupt racism in their own lives. This event is part of the Inaugural Year series, a year-long exploration of the theme Democracy and Education in conjunction with the arrival of the college's eleventh president, Cristle Collins Judd. The screening will take place in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center at 917 Kimball Avenue.

The Bronxville Adult School is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1957 and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. The School "offers all adults of Bronxville and surrounding communities the opportunity for personal growth through life enhancing skills and provides cultural, intellectual and recreational stimulation at a nominal cost."

Bronxville Public Library
The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.
The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.
The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children. All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
