June 2, 2021: Outdoors is where it all happens now! Bronxville High School is thrilled to present an open-air production of the musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" under the direction of Choral Director Pamela Simpson.
Six middle-schoolers compete in a regional spelling bee and are tested with words that range from the familiar ("crayon"), to the esoteric ("syzygy") to the frankly nonexistent ("hasenpfeffer"). But correct spelling is not the only pressure facing our contestants. They must also navigate the expectations and quirks of parents, families, and spelling bee administrators. Who will be left standing? Come join us for the return of live theater!
The performances will take place on the front lawn of the Bronxville School, near the auditorium steps. Seating is limited to accommodate social distancing. We ask that all wear masks. Showtimes are: Friday, June 4 at 6pm and Saturday, June 5 at 1pm and 6pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 (cash) at the door. No refunds.
