Perks has written a book called Trauma Proof that examines the power of parent-child attachment. Perks also focuses on removing stigma, shame and self-blame from trauma.  This talk seeks to help us overcome moments of adversity to create healthy and meaningful relationships. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to access these services locally without traveling to White Plains.
