Sep. 19, 2018: The entries below are selections from the Bronxville police blotter.
September 11, 2018, 12:15 pm, 5-7 Park Place/Trustco Bank: A 21-year-old male of Yonkers was charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (class D felony) after Bronxville detectives and the Westchester County district attorney’s office completed an investigation into a fraudulent $36,000 transaction on February 2, 2018. The $36,000 check is believed to have been stolen from the U.S. mail while en route to its intended destination. The man was arraigned by Judge Primps and released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance on September 9, 2018.
September 11, 2018, 2:12 pm, Kraft Avenue: There was a two-vehicle accident; there were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
September 11, 2018, 4:42 pm, Pondfield Road: A 2018 Trek Bike valued at $566 was stolen from the front of a store on Pondfield Road. The bicycle was not protected by a lock. The incident is being investigated.
September 13, 2018, 7:34 am, Pondfield Road: A caller reported a vehicle playing extremely loud music. The motorist, who was parked in front of CVS, was warned and admonished.
September 14, 2018, 2:59 pm, Pondfield Road/Citibank: A 46-year-old woman of Manhattan was charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree (class D felony) after police responded to a call from a Citibank employee stating that she believed a woman was attempting to complete a fraudulent transaction. Officers determined that the woman attempted to assume the identity of the 81-year-old account holder by wearing a gray wig and producing a fraudulent State of Connecticut driver's license to withdraw $4,100. She was arraigned by Judge Primps and transported to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
