Bronxville Police Blotter: October 13 to October 21, 2018

Oct. 24, 2018: The following entries are from the Bronxville police blotter.
October 13, 2018, 8:35 pm, Park Avenue: Multiple callers reported a large, disorderly group on the corner of Park Avenue and Chestnut Place. Officers dispersed the group.
October 13, 2018, 10:29 pm, Meadow Avenue: An anonymous caller reported a large group of people gathering on Meadow Avenue near Garden Avenue. The group was dispersed by officers.
October 13, 2018, 12:00 pm, Sagamore Road: Police responded to a call reporting a skateboarder who was creating a traffic condition. The subject was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
October 14, 2018, 7:35 pm, Sagamore Road: A caller reported a suspicious male who was standing at the corner for over 45 minutes. The male left before officers could speak to him. No crime was committed.
October 16, 2018, 2:30 am: An officer on routine patrol was flagged down by a woman stating that she had had a physical altercation with her boyfriend. The woman then refused any further police action. The boyfriend was not present.
October 16, 2018, 10:21 am, Elm Rock Road: A resident reported that one license plate was missing from her vehicle. She was provided a report for DMV.
October 18, 2018, 8:31 am, Kraft Avenue: A 28-year-old man of Yorktown Heights was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and Suspended Registration (both misdemeanors) after he was stopped by Officer Jarosz because a license plate reader alarm indicated that his Registration was Suspended for Insurance Not In Effect. The man was also cited for Uninspected Motor Vehicle and Operating Without Insurance. He was processed and released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance. The 2007 BMW he was operating was impounded.
October 19, 2018, 3:39 pm, Library Lane: A caller reported a “suspicious duffel bag” left on the sidewalk. Officers determined that the backpack belonged to a resident and returned their lost property to them.
October 20, 2018, 8:48 pm, Chestnut Lane: A caller reported a group causing a disturbance in front of his residence. The group fled upon officers’ arrival. A small portion of a fence was knocked down during the disturbance.
October 21, 2018, 12:35 am, Pondfield Road: A 43-year-old man of Poughkeepsie was charged with Suspended Registration (misdemeanor) after a license plate reader alarm indicated to Officer Karaman that the registration to the man’s 2018 Infinity was suspended for insurance lapse. An inquiry on the man’s license revealed that he had an active warrant from the New York City Police Department for Trespassing. The NYPD Central Warrant Unit advised that they would not be able to execute their warrant. The man was processed on his Bronxville charges and released with an appearance ticket ordering him to appear before the Bronxville Justice Court on November 11 at 6:00 pm.
