August 12, 2019, 3:51 pm, NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital: A 51-year-old woman of Mount Vernon was charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree after security cameras showed her taking a purse containing cash and credit cards from a hospital patient. The woman was remanded by Judge George Mayer at arraignment and transported to Westchester County Jail Pending her next court appearance.
August 17, 2019, 7:47 am, Masterton Road: A 28-year-old man of Yonkers was charged with DWI after losing control of his vehicle and striking a utility pole at the corner of Midland Avenue and Masterton Road. The man was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. The man was transported to Westchester County Jail after failing to post $1,500.00 bail pending his next court appearance.
August 22, 2019, 9:05 am, Midland Avenue: A 25-year-old man of Mount Vernon was charged with misdemeanor Suspended Registration after an onboard license plate reader indicated to the officer that the registration to the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta he was operating was suspended due to an insurance lapse. The man was processed on the scene and released pending his next court appearance.
August 25, 2019, 4:20 pm: Officers responded to call of a dispute between family members. Officers were able to quell the verbal dispute. No crime was committed
August 25, 2019, 10:47 pm. Garden Avenue: While performing a routine check of the Garden Avenue tennis courts an Officer observed that the bathroom had been rummaged through. The door was ajar, and the interior garbage was strewn about and the toilet was struck with a large rock. DPW was notified. The incident is being investigated
